Some parents are concerned about 6 year molars coming in early or late in their kids. (c) at 16 years of age, the eruption still progresses but very slowly. However, every child is different, so don't worry too much if your child's first molars show up a bit early or late.

The middle teeth are usually the first to go (at 6 to 7 years), followed by the ones on either side (at 7 to 8 years).

When their 6 year molars start to come in, some children experience the same teething symptoms they had when they were babies. By the age of 13, most of the 28 permanent teeth will be in place.
